Aerodynamic engineer

We are looking for an Aerodynamicist within Wheel & Aero Group of Honeywell Turbo Technologies located at R&D centre of Honeywell Technology Solutions (China) in Pudong, Shanghai. Turbocharger is a key component of modern internal combustion engine power trains, and plays a critical role in reducing engine emission and improving engine fuel economy. Honeywell is the world largest turbocharger OEM for passenger cars and commercial vehicles with worldwide presentation. Its Shanghai R&D centre provides supports to global as well as local business and also involves in product developments.

The candidate is expected to play a key role in developing aerodynamics for turbochargers, in providing aero support to other groups both locally and globally, and to eventually design major components of turbochargers.

Responsibilities:

• Design/Improve major components of turbochargers like wheels and housings for both aerodynamic design and mechanical design.
• Provide aero support to other groups both locally and globally.
• Carry out CFD analyses of flows in compressors, turbines, and associated components
• Carry out FEA analyses of wheels for mechanical qualification
• Carry out compressor and turbine performance predictions

Skills/Qualifications:
• Industrial/research experiences on turbomachinery or aerodynamics related field
• Familiar with CFD and FEA code such as Fluent, NUMECA, StarCD, CFX, ICEM CFD, ANSYS, etc.
• University graduate major at turbomachinery or aerodynamics-related subject, post-graduate degree is preferred
• The ability to apply the knowledge to solve practical engineering problems is critical.
• Knowledge of diesel and gasoline engine systems including air management systems is preferred
• Ability to work with people with diverse culture
• Good interpersonal skills and team player
• Self motivated to continuously improve performance level and efficiency
• Good communicator in oral and writing by English and mandarin.
• Good Team player
• PC skills are required especially Microsoft Office
