小学生英语故事狐狸和葡萄(The fox and the grapes)

There’s a big forest. A fox and a bird live in the forest. The fox’s name is Tom. He is clever. He has two big eyes. The bird’s name is Kally. She is pretty. She has yellow feather.

　　One day, the fox is thirsty. He is looking for some water. Then he sees several bunches of grapes on the tree. The grapes are round and purple.

　　They’re smooth. They’re nice. The fox looks at the grapes. He likes them. The fox jumps and jumps. He wants to eat these grapes. But the grapes are high. The fox can’t jump high enough.

　　So, he can’t eat the grapes. He thinks and thinks. But he can’t think out a good idea. Suddenly a bird is coming. She sees the grapes, too. She flies high.

　　So, she eats the grapes easily. But the fox says:“I like grapes. Go away bird!”The bird says:“No, they’re my grapes!”The bird is happy, because she likes these sweet grapes.

　　The fox can’t eat the grapes. He is angry. “Oh! Those grapes are sour. I don’t like them!”says the fox. Then he goes away.
